Hong Kong

This is post is actually for some friends who are in HK at the moment, on yet another holiday! (yes, I am jealous!) I have been busy trying to get my photo library back in order after I magically ended up duplicating around 7000 images which resulted in a library which was a bit of a mess! Anyway, whilst sorting the library out, I came across from pictures from HK from 2002. So I thought I would post a few travel street/life photo’s to give my friends some inspiration to capture some candids.

Nice. I like the contrast of the cool grey / green tram photo alongside the more frenetic and colourful street images.

Thanks Naina. The tram photo is actually my favourite from all the pictures I took in HK.

Hi Chloe. Yes, HK is a great place. Fantastic scenery, excellent shopping and great food. Well worth a holiday, just don’t expect to sit back and take it slow, the place is alive all the time.

Hey Graham, have you or your friends ever purchased camera gear in hongkong.
Also the daisy image with its simplicity is a lovely shot

Hi Adrian. Thanks for comment on the daisy. I have purchased a lens in HK, around 6 years ago. Prices were excellent, I saved around $500 on the single purchase. Kheng has just been in HK, I’m not sure if he purchased any camera gear, he did say that a 5DMII was around $2,700. Which I think is a pretty big saving (remember I’m a Nikon guy
) I know a guy who buys a ot of gear in Singapore, and gets a really good price, better then what he gets here in Aus. Are yo considering getting some gear from HK?

Hi Graham Im off to Hongkong instead of the great Oz day boat cruise. So if Keng or yourself have shop names I will be sure to go to them. I have done some indepth internet searches however they are all dated 2006,2007.
