Renovation Fun…

Well, the backyard is near a new low. I have had this same feeling a few times before whilst renovating. There is a cycle you need to go through to get something great out the other end, which means that at some point things are going to look there worst. So currently we are working though water proofing the garden beds with bitumen, which in hind sight we should have done before we put soil in them. Hopefully the soil will go back into the garden beds on Monday/Tuesday. The other renovation is putting up a new balcony, balcony roof, alfreso area and re-paving. The paving starts next Saturday, by the Monday we will again be in yet a new low. All the exiting pavers need to come up and around 12 cubic meters of sand will be needed to re-level the yard. Anyway, it’s all progressing nicely, no complaints from me. Hopefully by the end of July we might be finished.

Wow… I can’t wait to sit in the new alfresco area when it is all done, that is if we are invited

Hello Graham,
Life’s philosophical truth.
Well worth the perseverance and turmoil.

Cheers Tony. The pool area looks pretty damn good at night, once we complete this stage of the renos I will post the before the after pictures. It’s nice to look back now and see where all the hard work (and money) has gone.
