Looking at Aperture 3

by Graham Leggate on Feb.23, 2010, under Photography

I haven’t posted anything new for a couple of weeks. Life has been rather busy lately, especially since I had a little health issue which needed a small operation to fix. So I have been off my feet for the last 4 days, which has given me some time to post-process some pictures and have a good look at Aperture 3. My first impressions of Aperture 3 is, I’m really impressed. The control you now have with editing files in a non-destructive way is so much better and more advanced. I really like the Quick Brushes, they give you great control to wield magical digital editing in places that need it. Library management and labelling is heaps better and gives you greater flexibility to categorise images. I think that most edits can now safely be done in A3 without needing to flick over to PS. Now we just need the guys from Nik Software and Imagenomic to update their plugins to be 64-bit and I will be one happy camper.

Anyway, there’s plenty of Aperture 3 reviews around, best way is to download it and give it a whirl. Below are some pictures I have done recently. Most of them are some kiddies portraits and one is from a wedding we shot recently. All of these images have been processed the Aperture 3. I am Really loving this app.
