G’Day,

I’m 30 something… loosing count, so I must be on the higher side of 30! I’m married, we have a 4 year old daughter, a son who is 23 months old, and we also have a labradoodle. We live in Perth, Western Australia, not too far from the beach. We love living here because you can make any day feel like you are on a summer holiday (well during summer that is).

I have a few passions, photography, IT and cars.

I have had a love affair with photography on and off for around 20 something years. I picked up the shutter bug back in school, from memory it was in primary school, but it wasn’t until high school I really started to use SLR’s and understand light and apertures, etc. But then my love affair started to die off as my IT career aspirations took over, not leaving much room for photography. But photography still had a place holder in my heart and every couple of years I would dust off the SLR and be enthused to get out and do some pictures… then it would die off again. Only recently my passion has been re-kindled and I am making room to ensure it doesn’t get squeezed out of my life again. I really enjoy landscape and seascape photography. A few of my inspirational photographers are West Australian photographers Christian Fletcher, Peter Hasson, Peter Eastway, and another is UK photographer Lee Frost. Thinking about it, there are quite a few inspirational photographers who consistently come up with ace photographs.

From an IT perspective, I have been in the I.T. industry for 20 years now, and have worked on some large projects around the world. If you are interested in my I.T. career, then take a look at my LinkedIn profile.

On a car front, I just love fast cars, faster the better I personally have a Holden Monaro CV8. This has had a new exhaust, alloys, cold air-intake, and re-tuned to produce 300kw. So, she goes well, actually very well. Mind you , it’s a Holden, which means it goes well most of the time… then something breaks… like a diff at the moment, which is diff #2! (update: diff has been replaced now. Running a 3.7 ratio. Very nice ) centre storage compartment door is now broken!
