Tin roof rusted

Matt, Kheng and I popped out today quickly at lunch to take a quick photo of an old shop in Osbourne Park. Was a little difficult to get close too, as it is all fenced off. The light was pretty harsh at lunch time today, so I wasn’t expecting to come away with anything useful. However I have an image to post. The image started out as a HDR, but then turned into the B&W… probably didn’t need to do the HDR
Anyway, it took on a life of it’s own once loaded into PS.

I really like the clarity of the image. Although the brass hinges is a bit tacky
The image looks a bit wonky too, not sure why though.

I like this as a piece of fine photo art. The hinges look cool and remind us this isn’t supposed to look real. Great use of dodging under the window, really makes it more balanced. I do see what Kheng says about wonky though, possibly need to get that tilt shift lens now to keep him happy
Christmas is next month….
It doesn’t really resemble the building we were at though, but as you say I don’t think any of us got anything of value from the quick shoot as the lighting was way too harsh and the side of the building we had access to was cast in its own shadow.
